At Sea Drive your privacy is of most importance to us. This document sets forth the way we use and protect any information that you give to Sea Drive when you use the seadriveapp.com website or the Sea Drive app. Sea Drive reserves the right to change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you agree with the most up to date privacy policy information. If you do not agree with this Policy then you should immediately stop using Sea Drive website and delete the mobile application. We have attempted to write this information in plain English so its easy for you to understand.

Distinguishing the website from the app

It's important to understand that Sea Drive operates a marketing website, accessible at seadriveapp.com, as well as a mobile application. These two services differ in what and how we collect and store information. We'll outline privacy information for each of these services separately.

How the App Collects and Uses Data

The Sea Drive app does require an account for basic features. When you register, Sea Drive will collect information which may contain (but is not limited to), your email address, an encrypted password, vessel, settings, marker, track, and route information. The main purpose and use of this data is to enable Device Sync. Device Sync allows for app users to seamlessly use multiple devices containing all the information that has been created by them (under the user's login and profile).
The app does not report your location information to our servers. When you use GPS features in the app we will ask for your location permission. You can adjust permission settings in your device's general settings. GPS location data is used locally on your phone to allow the Sea Drive app features to function properly. If you have an account and decide to use the track function to record your location the recording is stored on our servers so it can be synced to other devices, but never accessed by Sea Drive nor provided to any 3rd parties.
The app may collect anonymous tracking data. If you do not have an account we will not collect any tracking data. If you do have an account we may collect anonymous tracking information. This includes basic device information, purchase information, subscription information, and actions you've taken in the app. If you reach out with feedback from the app we also collect basic device information. This information is designed to help us improve the product and will never be provided to any 3rd parties.

How the Website and Uses Data

Sea Drive automatically collects anonymous analytics data that your browser sends when you visit our website. This data may contain information such as your computer's IP address, browser type, URLs of referring pages, geographic location, time and date of your visit and system configuration information.
When you contact us for inquiries or the contact form or via direct email, we might collect the contents of your email.
The website now provides a Web App that may collect account, registration, and profile data. The Sea Drive Web App app does require an account for basic features.

Your Rights

We take your right to review, understand, and remove personal data and information seriously. You can request to have your data removed upon app deletions by emailing hello@seadriveapp.com. We may take up to 30 days to remove your personal information for our systems.

Children's Privacy

Sea Drive does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register as Users. The Service and its content are not directed at children under the age of 13. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. Payments and Subscriptions

When you purchase paid products or subscribe to Sea Drive Pro there are two different payment options available to users. If purchasing through the mobile app all payments are processed via Apples payment system. We do not collect payment details such as addresses, names, or credit/debit card information. Sea Drive will only know if you've paid and if your subscription is either cancelled or lapsed. Alternatively, if you sign up through the website we use Stripe as a payment processing system.
